New brochure

HQ Dragoman is a hive of activity at the moment as we prepare for the launch of the new brochure in September.

For the last few months we have been working through your answers to our recent Customer Survey. There were some great ideas and we have really tried to implement these where ever we can.

The new brochure will see quite a few changes with new destinations, some fantastic add-ons and new styles of adventure. It's all very exciting and we can't wait to tell you more as things develop.

Every little helps

Donating tents

Carrying on our continued commitment to responsible tourism Dragoman has recently donated 20 of it's dome tents to the refugees in South Africa. With the problems in Zimbabwe many people have fled across the border to South Africa and temporary refugee camps are being set up to help house those who have been displaced.

This is only a small gesture but we hope that the tents will provide shelter for some of the families most in need of help. As you will be aware we have had to amend all of our trips that were due to visit Zimbabwe and are currently using Livingstone in Zambia as our joining point. We are in regular contact with our friends in Vic Falls and hope stability is restored soon.

Dragoman Travel Cards

Ucardit personal ID card

Dragoman Overland has joined forces with a company called uCardit to create an excellent addition to your packing list.

We have developed a Dragoman branded ID card that contains all of your important travel information on the one credit card-sized laminated card. These are fantastic for overlanding as it means you can leave your passport and other important documents locked away in the safe. We highly recommend these cards and would love all of our passengers to purchase them as they are such a good idea.

Here's Hannah

working on the quechua community project

I've been part of Drago for a few years now, starting back in the summer of 2002 as a trainee, learning the basics in the workshop before heading out to South America. I got to travel all over the continent, visit some incredible places and meet some amazing people.
My favourite place? Sorry to say there is not just one...I love the mountains and village communities in the Andes, Bolivia is amazing because it's not full of tourists, Patagonia and the glaciers is another favourite but then so are the bush camps on the beach sat round the fire and sleeping out under the stars.
In Dec 2004 I headed back to Dragoland and started working in the office....a bit of a shock to the system but I have managed to get out to South America a few times to help run the Rio Carnival.
I still miss being on the road and have to say the cab of my Drago truck is still the best office I've had but life as General Manager at Drago is always really busy. There is plenty to do and besides we still get to go out in the truck, sit round the fire and camp out under the stars, except now it's Suffolk not South America!!

Plan your own adventure

Come on

One big truck and a group of mates - travel!

What could be more fun than chartering one of our specialized overland vehicles and planning your own adventure. It's really quite simple, all you have to do is to decide who you want to travel with - that's the easy part - and we do all the rest, providing the truck, the crew and their expertise and the basic itinerary. You can personalize the trip to fit the needs of the group which makes this shared experience quite unique.
In the past we have had charters from schools, families and friends and they have been very successful.
