Overland through Tibet in comfort on this fantastic 25 night luxury overland trip. Taking it slowly to acclimatise to the dizzying altitudes of the Himalaya, we travel through some of the most awe-inspiring scenery on the planet. Starting in Nepal at Kathmandu's 5 star Dwarika's Hotel we travel all the way to Lhasa through some truly spectacular landscapes. To really take in the best of Tibet it is essential to be totally immersed in this vast mountainous wilderness, so we'll enjoy some magical wild-camps by sapphire blue lakes surrounded by snow-capped peaks - an experience made even more enjoyable by our excellent support team who perform all the camp duties, giving you the maximum amount of time to soak up the jaw-dropping views. Nights 1 - 3 Kathmandu

Nights 4 - 8 Journey into Tibet

• Overnight stay at spectacularly situated mountain resort in the foothills of the Himalaya
• Cross into Tibet and commence our steady climb up towards Pang La pass (5050m)
• Our journey allows plenty of time for acclimatisation, climbing high and sleeping low

Nights 9 - 12 Mt Everest & Tibetan Plateau

• Stand within a stones throw of Mount Everest at Everest Base Camp
• Side trip to the Rhongphuk Monastery, crossing passes of 5200 metres
• Wildcamp by beautiful lake Paiko Tso, in the shadow of Mt Shishapangma
• 3 day overland journey through the unqiue wilderness of the high Tibetan plateau
• Relax by the sapphire blue waters of Lake Manasarovar

Nights 13 - 16 Overland to Sakya

• Take a well earnt soak in the hot springs at Chui Monastery
• Mingle with the pilgrims as they complete their Kora to Mount Kailash
• Experience the rare emptiness of the Tibetan landscape as we overland to Sakya
• Civilisation in Sakya: a hot shower and a proper bed!

Nights 17 - 19 Shigatse & Gyantse

• 2 nights in Shigatse, capital of Tsang province
• Guided tour of the Tashilhunpo Monastery, seat of the Panchen Lama
• Visit to the stunning town of Gyantse and Baiju Monastery
• Explore Gyantse Kumbum and Gyantse Dzong

Nights 20 - 23 Lhasa

• 3 full days in Lhasa staying at the comfortable Yak Hotel
• Guided exploration of Lhasa's highlights

Nights 24 - 25 Return to Kathmandu

• Return flight from Lhasa to Kathmandu
• Final day in Kathmandu
