Beginning in Calcutta and ending in Dhaka, we're aiming to open Bangladesh's doors to tourism with this revolutionary overland trip, the first of it's kind to ever travel through the country. We'll spend 16 days exploring this reclusive but dynamic country, from mangroves in the Sundarbans to tea plantations in Srimangal and from the long beaches of Cox's bazaar to the impressive archealogical sites of Bogra. Bangladesh is a country that is determined to offer up the unexpected, it is, for example, one of the first nations on earth to completely ban the plastic bag! Days 12-13 Chittagong to Cox's Bazar
- Learn about the tribal people of Bangladesh at the Ethnological museum
- Visit on of the worlds longest and broadest beaches
- Visit to the countrys largest bronze Buddhist statue
Days 14 Cox's Bazar to Rangamati
- Cruise on the blue waters of Kaptai Lake
- Soak up the scenic beauty of Rangamati
Days 15 - 16 Rangamati to Dakha
