where would you like to travel to in asia?

The lines on the map show the routes of our overland trips. Where we have counties listed but no routes shown, we offer non-truck trips only.

why travel asia?

The names of the cities of Central Asia follow the greatest trade route on earth. For centuries Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva were trading posts along the Silk Road, their magnificently opulent mosques and palaces presided over by fearsome Khans. In ancient times the Chinese considered this the edge of the known world, and even today few tourists make it this far. By going overland you follow in the footsteps of the early merchants and traders who came through here. From the steamy backwaters of Kerala in India to the rarefied atmosphere of Tibet, on a Dragoman trip you’ll experience Asia in all its many colours. You might find yourself riding an elephant through the jungle in search of tigers in Nepal, drifting along the River Ganges at dawn as the pilgrims come down to the water, or drinking fermented horse milk with nomads in a yurt in Kyrgyzstan. Whether you are looking for just a few days away or want to combine trips to create an epic journey of a lifetime – perhaps from Istanbul to Beijing, round India then back along the Silk Road – there’s no limit, other than how far you are willing to go in search of adventure.
